Nick and Fino are the owners and managers of the business, handling both the daily operations and administrative tasks. Our team is made up of people who are passionate about dogs—many of us are dog owners ourselves. We understand the unique bond you share with your dog, and that’s exactly why we started this business: to help everyone find the dog that’s the perfect fit for them. The love a dog gives is truly special—it’s unconditional. Whether you’ve had a rough day at work or school, your dog will always be there to offer love and comfort.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Fino moved to Tennessee in the fall of 2023. Growing up with dogs, he developed a deep appreciation for their companionship. After settling in Tennessee, he decided to get a Bernese Mountain Dog of his own. He enjoys spending time with his furry friend, and as he bonded with his new pet, he realized that many people are missing out on the joy of having a dog. This is why he decided to come up with a way to eliminate the distance between you and your furry friend. Understanding the emotions that can be built simply by seeing your dog is something he truly knows and understands.

My name is Nick Guess, co-founder of Woofers on the road where we help unite adopted dogs with their forever homes. Nick is a visionary entrepreneur and is also the founder of a successful construction company that specializes in building custom spec homes in Knoxville, TN. Nick has over ten years experience in what it takes to start a company and build a successful business. His strong work ethic can be attributed to playing sports for most of his life.

Nick Guess played football for the University of Tennessee where he was awarded as a scholar athlete. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business and then went on to be signed as a free agent in the NFL.

Now, the dog part. Nick grew up with pets. Cats and birds, but never a dog. It wasn’t until after college that he got his first dog and quickly realized how special the bond between a person and dog could be. Truly a man’s best friend.

Nick is excited to combine his love for dogs with his incredible business and leadership skills to this wonderful new venture with Woofers on the Road!
